Cathy Mart lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and four children. She began taking piano lessons in the fourth grade, and was taught mostly classical music and hymns. She began playing at church a few years later, and hasn't stopped since. She has always loved music and began writing songs in 2000. She leads worship for the prayer and healing ministry at her church, and has a heart for the hurting. She also has a desire to see people worship with passion and intimacy.
I recently have become interested in "soaking." It used to be called meditation. It is basically spending time with God, without any of your own agenda. I have been trying to just minister unto the Lord, without expecting anything in return. Letting Him do most of the talking, and just waiting for His Presence. I'm not saying not to read your bible and pray during your quiet times. Those are a must! I just believe we need to learn how to be still and wait upon the Lord. Most of the music I write comes from this place of intimacy where there is fullness of joy, love, healing, and peace. The title "PLUMAGE" was conceived from Psalm 91. "He will cover you with His feathers." I often find white feathers when I go for walks, and I even found one at the dentist's office once. I believe God was letting me know He is always with me, and protecting me underneath the shadow of His Wings.
